Catch the St. Anne’s
Spirit with ...
Veteran Employee Mary Ann Hollmier
“I believe in St. Anne’s”
Since 1978, Mary Ann Hollmier has contributed to
St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus in a myriad of ways.
She has served as personnel director, volunteer coordinator,
assistant administrator and nurse. Presently, she is
working as a nurse during the second shift on the second
floor. In characteristic fashion, she cares deeply for
the residents and her colleagues with her infectious
enthusiasm and professionalism.
“Our residents on second floor are a joy and
a challenge. They are walking history books and a study
in different personalities. They can be happy and upbeat
but also challenged by loss. They cope with the latter
with a deep sense of faith and a network of friends
that includes their caregivers, volunteers and other
residents,” she explained. |

On the second floor, Mary Ann and other staff address the
needs of fifty-one persons.
Mary Ann is a loyal and dedicated people person who reflects
the St. Anne’s Spirit. “I believe in St. Anne’s.
We are all about giving the very best care we can to those
who come into our world. We care about and for the people
who are here and we are very good at it. I respect the organization
and its mission.”
“I look at myself as a nurse and a teacher. It is important
to me that the morale of our residents and staff on the second
floor remains high. I learn something new every day from our
residents and staff. I enjoy each day and try to put some
fun into this ministry,” she explained.
Moments that touched her heart:
“Recently a resident called and thanked me. She said
things seemed to run smoothly and quietly during the second
shift. That is a tribute to all of us.”
“Another resident was experiencing pain from a muscle
spasm in his neck. I put a hot pack on it to relieve the pain.
Then he thanked me and smiled. Those smiles keep me going.”
